The Airport Express gives you the ability to play music, wirelessly, anywhere in your house. Now, there are lots of speakers out there that have some fancy claim about being "MP3 speakers" or "iPod speakers", and usually will do just about everything but your dishes, however, the actual sound quality of many of these speakers is pure audio torture. While I don't think of myself as an audiophile (who has a spare $100k or more to drop on tube amps, and speakers with serial numbers that are lucky to be above double digits?) I do however appreciate good sound quality. Very few things in life can move someone like music can, and part of the musical experience is being able to reproduce the sound as close to live as possible. It looks like the fourth is going to be a rainy day, so I may have time to record the first podcast. I will be focusing on switching from Windows to the Mac for home users. Specifically, I will be looking at what the big differences are between the two platforms, and offer various tips for users. My main fileserver at home, has a bad disk drive, and it is on the /home partition, which is where the majority of my data is stored. I have tried things like SpinWrite, but the disk has too many errors on it, that are not repairable. I have to move data to another server, since this is my main consulting data system, which runs many web applications that I use for my consulting business.

I have "Logo Design Studio" for the Mac, so hopefully I will get it done soon.

I am also going to be posting a test podcast to make sure everything is working correctly. I need to make sure RSS is working, and the links to libsyn work as well. I still do not see how http://libsyn.com can make money by offering unlimited bandwidth. What if someone decided to post some 1080p videocasts? That would surely put a strain on libsyn.

So, hold on tight. I really hope to get the first podcast out this weekend sometime.

Still working audio issues

Well, I am still working out the last of the audio issues.
