Possibly back on track..
22/06/06 20:16
Yes, it has been a while, but I am finally getting
some breathing room, and taking it easy this summer.
I will be doing one show shortly, and then hopefully
one every two to three weeks.
Another setback..
23/03/06 10:38
It is sometimes hard being a one man show. My main
fileserver at home, has a bad disk drive, and it is
on the /home partition, which is where the majority
of my data is stored. I have tried things like
SpinWrite, but the disk has too many errors on it,
that are not repairable. I have to move data to
another server, since this is my main consulting data
system, which runs many web applications that I use
for my consulting business.
I hope to have that project done in a few weeks, so I can get back on track with the podcasts.

Set back a few weeks

Sorry - I have been busy with other projects, and
have not had time to work on this Podcast. I hope
that I will be able to do a little bit this weekend.
I also have to post the test podcast, which will
simply be myself and my daughter messing around with
the microphone. This podcast will be used for testing
purposes, and should not be taken seriously
Almost there!

Well, I still need to create a logo! I have "Logo
Design Studio" for the Mac, so hopefully I will get
it done soon.
I am also going to be posting a test podcast to make sure everything is working correctly. I need to make sure RSS is working, and the links to libsyn work as well. I still do not see how http://libsyn.com can make money by offering unlimited bandwidth. What if someone decided to post some 1080p videocasts? That would surely put a strain on libsyn.
So, hold on tight. I really hope to get the first podcast out this weekend sometime.

Still working audio issues

Well, I am still working out the last of the audio
issues. I have found some good recording levels, that
sound clean, and now I have to do some more testing.
I will finally be posting the first test - hopefully
tonight or Monday. I then have to document
everything, so I do not have to go through all the
trial and error again
Slowly coming along..

Sorry - things are kind of hectic. I did find a place
to host the media files, which will be able to handle
any bandwidth that is requested! It should be able to
get hammered, and I will not incur any costs. All
pricing is done on the total size of the media. You
can sign up at libsyn.com
New Test Podcast will be posted later today.
29/01/06 13:45
I will be posting a test podcast to get the RSS
working properly, and get it submitted to iTunes, so
I can test things out.
Update: I should have my first podcast out within 2 weeks.
28/01/06 08:04
I am still working on some technical sound issues,
and I still need to do some artwork. I am hoping to
have the first show out in two weeks.
Welcome to Family TechCast!

This is just a test. The Podcast show notes will be
posted here, so you can reference links, or any
updates or any answers to questions that come up on
the show.
